| We are very concerned about your privacy and credit card information. So to ensure that these concerns are addressed we use a high grade - strong encyrption system provided by Netweb/Americart Systems.
Netweb/Americart, being an ecommerce service, acts as conduit for a large amount of sensitive and private data. Specifically addressed herein is payment information, address information, telephone numbers, and other such data commonly given during an online purchase. Utmost care is taken to maintain the privacy of both our merchant clients and the shoppers who patronize their online stores. It is our strict policy not to share, rent or sell such data to anyone under any circumstances. Shopper data is given ONLY to the merchant operating the online store the shopper is purchasing from. Specific information is not used for any other purpose whatsoever, although general statistical data may be generated from the information. At Netweb/Americart, we believe strongly in personal privacy, and as such forbid the use of our shopping cart service by any merchant engaging in mass emailings, unsolicited emailings, or any other type of SPAM currently in vogue. This policy is STRICTLY enforced, and will result in immediate account termination.
The goal of Netweb/Americart security is to acheive one thing: Deliver credit card information from the customer to the merchant with the minimum possibility of exposure to prying eyes. Our primary tool for this is the utilization of secure data encryption. We encrypt the information between the customer and the cart, and then you retrieve credit card information the same way. Although orders are emailed to the merchant in the clear, we strip off the credit card number, which is then retrieved by the merchant through their secure browser, thus completing the secure path.
If you have any questions regarding this system please contact Netweb/Americart Shopping Cart Systems at 631-225-5663 or carts@designapage.com
